Brampton, ON — The Flower City Friends Club (FCFC) organized a vibrant and heart-warming Christmas Gala Dinner on December 28, 2025, at the Paul Pallecchi Recreation Centre, bringing together over 120 senior members for an evening filled with celebration, togetherness, and festive cheer.
Christmas, a festival symbolizing love, sharing, compassion, and hope, was celebrated in its true spirit. The evening reflected the importance of togetherness—especially for seniors—through laughter, participation, music, dance, games, and warm fellowship. The atmosphere was lively with excellent food, engaging activities, and enthusiastic involvement from members, making it a truly memorable occasion.
The program began with a welcome address by Gian Paul, Chairperson of FCFC, who extended heartfelt Christmas and New Year greetings to all members and guests. Highlighting the club’s journey, he shared that FCFC successfully organized 11 impactful events in 2025, strengthening social bonds and promoting active, healthy living among seniors.
“Christmas reminds us that no one should feel alone,” said Gian Paul. “At Flower City Friends Club, we don’t just organize events—we create belonging. The love and participation we see tonight motivate us to keep doing more for our seniors and the wider community.”
Adding to the festive joy, every attending member received Christmas gifts, generously sponsored by Roger Sharma of Legend Tire, a gesture warmly appreciated by all.
The event was honoured by the presence of Chief Guests Amandeep Sodhi, MP for Brampton Centre, and Ruby Sahota, MP for Brampton—Caledon North. Both leaders commended FCFC for its consistent dedication to seniors’ well-being and community building.
“Organizations like Flower City Friends Club are the backbone of our community,” said Amandeep Sodhi. “The energy, care, and inclusion seen here tonight truly reflect the spirit of Brampton.”
Ruby Sahota added, “It’s inspiring to see seniors so actively engaged, celebrated, and supported. FCFC is doing exceptional work in creating meaningful connections.”
A major highlight of the evening was the launch of the FCFC Annual Magazine, showcasing the club’s year-long activities, achievements, and valuable community information. The magazine was formally launched by both MPs and includes special greeting messages from Mark Carney, Doug Ford, and Patrick Brown—marking a proud milestone for the club.
The program was seamlessly anchored by Anuja Kabuli as Master of Ceremonies, keeping the audience engaged throughout with smooth transitions and high energy. The entertainment lineup featured dance performances, Gidha, fun games, Tambola, and enthusiastic participation from members.
The evening’s biggest crowd-pleaser was the special entry of Santa Baba, whose lively presence and gift-giving added sparkle, laughter, and unforgettable festive excitement to the celebration.
Concluding remarks were delivered by Kamal Babra, Director, and Jaswinder Daind, President, who thanked members, volunteers, sponsors, and guests for their unwavering support.
“Our strength lies in our unity,” said Kamal Babra. “Tonight shows what we can achieve together.”
Jaswinder Daind noted, “Seeing seniors this happy and connected is the true success of our mission.”
